Disconnect from the everyday stresses, relax with our wonderful horses and reconnect with yourself.

Our camping riding holidays allow you to fully embrace the outdoors and create a special bond with your horse from Equine-Connect. A perfect opportunity to make new friendships, explore the beautiful Cornish countryside and enjoy plenty of fun and laughter.
Comprising of 3 days and 2 nights, with approximately 9 hours riding across the 3 days along a section of the beautiful Camel Trail. Setting up camp in a private little paddock alongside a gentle stream, surrounded by our horses. It is nicely sheltered, with occasional visits from wildlife such as deer and otters, the area is very peaceful apart from the noise we make.
We leave behind luxury to be at one with nature.

These riding holidays are aimed at experienced riders who must be capable and confident in walk, trot and canter. However, these treks are about journey between horse and rider, enjoying the peace and tranquillity of spending time with your horse. We do not prioritize speed and cannot guarantee how often/ if we will be cantering. There will be times when you will need to be confident riding on the road. As our riding holidays contain portions of riding on steep roads/ long distances, we have a weight limit in place of 10.5 stone (approximately 67kg) to ensure we do not overload our horses.

We must request that you are kind, respectful and gentle with our horses. Whilst all sensible, our horses are not “push button horses” that you may come across in an average riding school. If you have any concerns or are unhappy with the horse you have been matched with/ are riding you must inform Lisa (or a member of her assistance team) at the earliest opportunity so that a plan can be made for you.
We will not tolerate any abusive behaviour in any form, any abusive or drunk behaviours will terminate your riding holiday immediately and no refunds will be offered.

Smoking and/or vaping is prohibited within the campsite or around/ on the horses. Suitable smoking/vaping areas will be designated if required.
You are permitted to bring a small selection of alcoholic drinks with you, providing you are 18 years of age or older. We will not tolerate any alcoholic drinks being shared with anyone under the age of 18 years. Any alcoholic drinks must be securely stored at your own risk.

Each rider must have completed an assessment with Equine-Connect, prior to riding holiday. You are only required to complete one riding assessment with Equine-Connect, if you have previously had an assessment a new one will not be necessary- unless your circumstance have dramatically changed (please inform of us this at time of booking.)
Cancellations/ Refunds
Please refer to our full cancellation policy as detailed on our website.
A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total cost will secure your booking. With the remainder of the costs paid 1 calendar month before the first date of the riding holiday, this is also non-refundable (except in extenuating circumstances).
Cancellation/ refund requests must be made in writing to “[email protected]”, whereby the request will be discussed by the management team.
Bookings are transferrable to another person, providing the new person is of a similar riding capability and a suitable horse is available for them.
Where space allows, we encourage any “cancelled” bookings to be re-arranged to an alternative date within that calendar year to avoid loss off fees.
In the rare and unlikely event of Equine-Connect cancelling the riding holiday, the costs (already paid) of the riding holiday will be refunded in full.
Insurance
Here at Equine-Connect we provide riders insurance, however, we suggest researching your own insurances for this riding holiday including;
Personal possession insurance/ Holiday insurance
Personal riders insurance
These insurances will have to be organised at your own discretion.
We suggest these insurances for the following reasons;
- The accommodation is on private rented land, however, the your personal possessions will be left in tents. Therefore we recommend only bringing what you definitely need, as the majority of possessions are left at your own risk. There is an area to secure small personal possessions such as money/ mobile phones.
- Holiday insurance can, depending on cover purchased, allow you to regain some costs related to cancellations.
- Personal riders insurance, can offer riders peace of mind in the unlikely event of personal injury that could have an impact of future work etc.
Any Other Information
Please ensure any medical conditions or additional needs are declared/ disclosed at time of booking.
There is no mains electric at the campsite, we run all our electric appliances from solar power or battery packs. Therefore we recommend bringing your own power banks or solar powered packs for lights/ charging mobile phones etc.
Phone signal is poor (at best) on our campsite. Some phone signal can be found on a nearby access road, there are plenty of places during our rides where phone signal is strong, however, internet connection can be patchy- we feel this adds to the beauty of “disconnecting”.
As previously mentioned we are camping in a field alongside a stream often visited by wildlife. It is possible that you may come into contact with ticks and or experience fly bites. We will have tick removers available in our first aid kit, but we advise you to be mindful of this. To reduce the likelihood of tick/ fly bites, we suggest wearing long loose fitting clothing to keep your skin covered and be vigilant about closing your tent and sleeping areas.
